Registration Charges

A fee paid to register a property transaction.

Registration charges are paid to the sub-registrar to record a property transaction in the public register. In Karnataka this is commonly a percentage of the property value, charged in addition to stamp duty. Registration gives the transaction legal standing and public notice.
