Transferable Development Rights (TDR)
Development rights that can be used or sold elsewhere.
Transferable Development Rights are granted when a landowner surrenders land for public purposes, allowing the equivalent development potential to be used on another site or sold. TDR is one mechanism by which permissible built area can be increased beyond base FSI, subject to local rules.
